Statistics ROMENVIROTEC - International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for Enviroment Protection
Statements by personalities

Sulfina BARBU, Minister of the environment and water management: "I believe the international exhibition Romenvirotec-SEP is one of the best opportunities both for the business environment in Romania and that worldwide. The equipment and technologies promoted in this exhibition represent not just an example of the ever more pertinent concerns for environmental protection, but also a proof that the relevant producers have changed their mentality in terms of profit.

"I dare say the development of such undertakings here, at Romexpo can only benefit all those who want Romania to change and head for the large and complex family named the European Community. Such events should be reiterated and held more often for the Romanian market to be flooded with the best and most competitive products likely to allow performant development of the Romanian economy and society."

Mioara MANTALE, Prefect of Bucharest: "This is the first time I come in an international exhibition in my position as Prefect. It will not be the last though. The prefect is in a way the host of such initiatives developed in Bucharest. As a host, I wish to thank all the international participants, especially our partners from Padova Fiere. I believe Romexpo will learn a lot from Padova Fiere, as the latter boasts long-standing experience.

"At the same time, in my position as prefect, I assure you my presence here will be a guarantee that Bucharest Prefecture will back such private initiatives and will do its best to remove all barriers braking private enterprise and all those who have the courage to take the initiative and to take risks.

"The Bucharest Prefecture will always support the development of new businesses and private enterprise in Bucharest, as 40 per cent of investments in Romania are here.

"Bucharest should be the pilot programme for any other hi-tech implementation. I refer precisely to the technologies presented in this exhibition. I wish all the participants good luck and success! Congratulations!"

Ferrucio MACOLA, President, Padova Fiere: "To us, those from Padova Fiere, it is a pleasure to present to you all, together with our partners from Romexpo, Romenvirotec-SEP-the first exhibition focused on environmental technologies, co-organised by the Bucharest and Padova Fairs.

"22 Italian companies are present in the fair. They bring to Romania wastes management, treatment, and recycling systems, air purification monitoring systems, industrial and household waste water treatment and purification systems, as well as biogas energy systems. These aspects are fundamental for calculating those environmental parameters that will soon allow Romania to meet the EU standards.

"I wish to thank Romexpo for the excellent cooperation in the joint organisation of Romenvirotec-SEP-an event of utmost importance for the entire Europe."

Constantin POPESCU, Secretary of State, Ministry of Environment and Water Management: "The ministry of the environment welcomes the opening of Romenvirotec-SEP. I wish to thank the organisers for the efforts made to develop this event. Likewise, I dare say this is an excellent occasion for economic actors and clean technologies producers to get in touch. Our environmental programme is a wide-scope one. Romania will have a genuine environmental market. This is also an excellent occasion to invite foreign investors to come and contact us in order to jointly develop environmental programmes. I wish success to the exhibition!"

Paolo LEMMA, Italian Embassy in Romania: "I am glad to deliver the message of H.E. Stefano Ronca, Ambassador of Italy to Bucharest.

"Fairs and exhibitions are very important moments, very good opportunities for contact making and the exchange of ideas. Their development can bring benefits both to the business environment and the economy in general.

"Romania is a very important market for our country, especially the environmental sector that has unlimited potential and that can be capitalised within economic-commercial cooperation, in the technology sector.

"The Italian Embassy and the Foreign Trade Office in Bucharest are at the service of business people, supplying any kind of assistance likely to be needed both by Italian and Romanian companies interested in cooperation, in order to develop the commercial objectives set.

"All this has been possible owing to the cooperation with our Romanian partners and their availability to work out solutions to all problems and to identify joint projects.

"Good luck and success to everybody!"

Plinio ROMAGNA, Communication Director, Padova Fiere Spa: "It is a pleasure for us, those with Padova Fiere, to present, together with our colleagues from Romexpo, the trade fair Romenvirotec-SEP dedicated to environmental technologies, and set up for the first time in cooperation by the Bucharest and Padova fairs-Romexpo S.A. and Padova Fiere Spa, respectively-that intended and have managed to also organise two important meetings within Romenvirotec-SEP: that on the bilateral Italian-Romanian cooperation in the field of environment that welcomes Guglielmo Cioni, environment director of the Italian Bureau in Brussels, and that organised by ISWA on biological treatment in the EU. Our most sincere thanks to the entire Romenvirotec-SEP structure with which it has been a pleasure to cooperate for the joint organisation of an international event of such consequence for the future of Europe."

Statements by exhibitors

Ionica STAVRESCU, Emco Engineering&Contracting Romania S.R.L.: "We hope to be successful at this edition as well, to start new contacts and business relationships, as the fair is the best opportunity for attaining such goals."

Cristiana BERTERO, Padova Fiere, Italy: "Padova Fiere Spa is a company specialising in the organisation of international exhibitions in different lines of work, including environmental protection. I visited the 2004 edition of Romenvirotec with very much interest and, as the Romanian market has a great potential in this sector and there are many companies in Italy with excellent performance in the field, we proposed to our colleagues from Romexpo to develop together this first stand-alone edition of the exhibition. We have organised the participation of 24 well-reputed Italian companies, as well as business consulting likely to help conclude contracts with Romanian partners under the best conditions possible. The cooperation with Romexpo has been excellent, mostly owing to the expertise of the Romanian personnel. Together, we also facilitate exhibitors' contacts with representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Water Management, as well as of the central and local administration. Padova Fiere is content with the results of the cooperation in the first joint organisation of this event and has decided to resume cooperation with Romexpo."

Alina MAXIM, Sales Manager, Badotherm Group: "We are for the fourth time in a Romcontrola event, the only fair in Romania specialising in this field. Why are we here? To promote our products, the new line of equipment: pressure transducers with environmental separators."

Fausto LORENZONI, TecnoIn: "The thematic of Romenvirotec-SEP- is relatively new in Romania and will develop considerably, as environmental matters are of utmost importance. Furthermore, it is an excellent information means for Romanian specialists who have thus the opportunity to become familiar with the technologies used in the European Community. Our participation in Romenvirotec-SEP is the result of the cooperation of Romanian and Italian fair and exhibition specialists-Romexpo S.A. and Padova Fiere Spa., respectively."

Andrei Ionel PATRUT, Marketing Manager, Caloris: "We participate in most of the trade fairs and exhibitions organised here, as this is the best place to learn about the market requirements in order to define our offer and development strategy."

Emilian GHERDAN, Manager, Europlast Romania: "This the second time we have come in Romenvirotec to further strengthen our presence in the market and establish new contacts with potential clients. Our previous participation and these first days of this edition have shown the ever greater interest of the representatives of the central and local administrations, as well as of Romanian companies in products related to environmental protection. I dare say this domain will develop considerably in Romania. That is precisely why we are here, in Romenvirotec-SEP. Its organisation as a stand-alone event is most welcome, and extending the event by inviting companies from Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia will further increase its importance. We are sure to come to the next editions as well."
